Too many changes in the off-season and.....

..that is totally on Chip. Not sure why he didn't blow the thing up when he first got here a couple of years ago. We would have all understood that and we would have been more patient in the rebuilding process. Instead, he has a couple of good seasons with FF's players and THEN he decides to blow it up. In fact, if he blew it up from the get-go, we would have sucked and he would have had a clear shot at Mariotta.

I have to think it was a learning curve issue and.........

...he just had no idea how to proceed, so he just went status quo for 2 years until he figured it all out. This is the problem with hiring coaches with no NFL experience. We saw similar bullsh*t with Andy Reid (FF).

I think he knew who he wanted to get rid of but didn't put a lot of thought into replacing them. Especially the guards.

He values culture, system and conditioning way above skills.

But then he had Mike Vick at QB who was tailor made for Chip's offense, and a pro bowl running back and two pro bowl wide receivers and a veteran offensive line, and Chip's offense worked. Then he figured it was the system not the players. Now he gets to prove if the system works with the weak and the lame.

Steve Spurrier had some nifty plays also and he didn't do crap either in the NFL......

John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

Yeah, let's get rid of our best skill players! We can just replace them!

I think Howie was Chip's problem the first 2 yrs. Chip had to take full control in order to have gotten rid of FF players from the very start.
