  • Did Kelly really want personnel control?

He got pissed when Roseman fired Gamble and must have given Lurie an ultimatum to get back at Howie. Lurie decided giving Chip total control was the answer. But I think Kelly was interested in revenge not player control.

However once he got control he used it.

You've been watching too much reality tv.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

I see what you're getting at, but don't the quotes from Chip directly conflict your theory of giving Lurie an ultimatum?

Funny, you're not fit to lick DQ's balls.
