Honestly, except for a few pussified attempts both covering and tackling, I don't think Maxwell has been as bad as many have made him out to be. He got bitch slapped by Julio, who is bitch slapping the whole league.

That's fair. Every team runs some single-high looks throughout a game, even against elite WRs. A big part of the issue against Atlanta was that there was virtually no pass rush.

If the DL/LBs continue to make QBs move around and get their hands in passing lanes, then the CBs will look a lot closer to what people expected.

I understand that single high is what Davis WANTS to run, but far to often over the last 3 years we've seen that look get exposed for huge plays. If he wants to run that, it's on him to devise a way for his pass rush to get there.

I just get too much of a Reid-ish "my way WILL work, we just have to keep trying it no matter how much it's not working" vibe from Davis.

The OP posted this DVOA to point out I guess there are some improvements. I'm just stating the facts of them moving from #12 last week against a journeyman QB to 5th and maybe moving up higher against garbage Cousins. This is a new secondary not the one from last year Cousins faced.
