To pick up steam between now and Sunday, it's not going to get there in time to warrant postponing the game. Latest update on the NHC site shows it being level with the NC/VA border 2AM Monday morning. A solid 10 hours after the game is over and it's still going to be 200+ miles away from the DC area.
