Had to set up a lecture today for a gentleman who worked for Dick Clark on the Original American Bandstand (speaking on the Philly sound to a music class) Decided to stick around for a bit and he spoke on the Cameo-Parkway label and the many performers who came from a few city blocks...Chubby Checker, Little Eva, Bobby Rydell, etc...Pretty cool...college kids were even paying attention...a little tidbit from monsoon country

Tons of rain here in upstate...

6" last day and a half. My dad is in Murrell's Inlet (about 8 miles from Conway) said it's lightened up but they expect tons later this afternoon and through the night.

Spent some fun times in Spartanburg back when the NY Times bought the Herald Journal. Had some great BBQ and went Buford for a weekend. The Buford Inn had great food. SC is a state that offers something for everyone. Very under rated.

I'm in North Myrtle right now, and it's breezy but just drizzling right now. We got decent rainfall overnight none of the torrential downpours they've been talking about just yet. Evidently the heaviest is going to be from the south end of the Grand Strand area down to around Edisto Beach below Charleston. Tonight going into tomorrow is when we're supposed to get the heavy stuff, but nothing yet.

No prob brotha. Took a look at the five day for here, and we're supposed to get rain from now until Wednesday. We've been getting the same weather here in MB Ells is getting- rain for the past 8 days. Ready for some sun already!
