  • It's actually pretty simple

    It's the fucking offensive line.

The one game they ran the ball effectively, they won.

If the offensive line was any good, the defense would be better.

To ignore depth and replacements in draft last 2 years is unforgivable and indefensible.

Esp in light of the age and chip ordered departures.

    Nauseating.

Today after JP went out it was Tobin, Barbre, Kelce, Kelly, and Johnson.

And the two "good" players didn't look so good either.

Sounds like the starting OL in preseason game #4

Should've kept Trent Cole because apparently Brandon Graham doesn't have the stamina to be an effective 3down LB.

My wife was complaining about Bradford. I told her that you could have put Joe Montana, Dan Marino, or John Elway behind that line. No matter who was back there, he was going to get killed.

              Yeah the defensive scheme sucks

So many of those pass plays where Cousins could find wide open guys just past the first down the DBs were 10 yds off the WRs.

you cant get a whole lot done when you are getting beaten consistently at the line of scrimmage.

That's the crux of the biscuit. I was okay with all of the other moves, but Chip's screwing with the O line may very well be his undoing.

I wasn't really asking for other warts, just focusing on the biggest culprit ... but you are right about that dolt playing off the LOS with his corners too much ... particularly on third down.

I hope Kelly's approach to offensive linemen, isn't the equivalent of Reid's approach to linebackers.

I don't see how this team does jack shit this season with this abortion of an offensive line. I don't care how mediocre the rest of the division.

The Vagiants proved that the last two years.

                            Well

If we are all completely honest, this team may very well end up with a top 5 pick. To invest all that money in D Murray, R Mathews, and pick up the salary of Bradford, and give up a 2nd round pick to boot, was just not very smart. Looking at every position group on this team, I don't see any improvement any where. Just the opposite.

QB - not even close to just as bad, way way worse
                            RB - see above
OL - without a doubt the absolute biggest drop-off of any group.
WR- Again, not better, and probably going to finish considerably worse
TE - A Brent Celek sighting yesterday. They may be spending all their time
trying to help the OL but again, worse than last season

DL - Might be at same level as last year but as with all the Defensive positions they are on the field way too long to really tell.

LB - I guess the injuries have at least showed the J Hicks can play. So a
2015 3rd round pick can get on the field and excel and a 2014 1st
round pick can't, even with all the injuries.

DB Really not much to say. As noted by somebody else they can't defense
a slant pass that every team seems to use. That being said, maybe they
should use guys that are press corners as press corners

ST Sproles is the only one on ST that is doing as well as last year. I hope
that the Eagles can find a kicker who can actually kick field goals, not
to mention the occasional extra point.

The worst part of this team is the OL and there just aren't a whole lot of decent O linemen that are on the street right now. I hope I am wrong, but I don't any way this team wins again before the bye week. They have a shot at a 2 game win streak in Miami and TB, but being totally unbiased I could see this team winning less than 5 games. I can't see 4 more games they can win to be brutally honest. I hope I am wrong.
