RIP: Gail Zappa

Frank's wife, Dweezil, Ahmet, Moon, and Diva's mother gone at 70.

She did a lot to keep Frank's music alive, and Dweezil now carries the torch.

Makes me remember the day they announced FZ was gone...sad.

She actually controlled the Zappa Family Trust with an iron fist, only doling out a little at a time to the public. Eventually she gave in and handed control of the trust over to Ahmet. And now they are putting out some new and interesting stuff.

yeah i thought that when i read the statement from the zappa family trust that mentioned how hard she fought for "intellectual property rights" or something. that's putting a bit of a, um, positive spin on it. but in this situation i thought maybe i should just keep that thought to myself. RIP.
