Well, hopefully they won't have to pay Samantha.

            a six-year, $114 million
If fans want to buy a philadelphia uniform, but you don't want to spend too much money, then you should find custom jerseys to shop.

I was wondering this too. It looks like the deal is basically a two-year deal, if we cut him after next season there is only $5M in dead money.

It's not as bad as, say, the Ryan Howard contract, but he's here through next season for sure.

Thx for the link Hordel, just have to wonder what his role will be in the future, because I think it will be hard NOT to have Mathews in the lineup, guy impresses the hell out of me, banging for every yard.

I'd like your view of things. We all had complaints about Joe Banner, but $5 million in dead money was more than Banner carried for all released players most years. Could Banner style contract negotiation succeed these days or do we have to accept the risk of dead money, as it seems Roseman has.

Honestly I think dead money is just the nature of the game at this point for all but the most conservative organizations. We've seen the Chip (for better or worse) doesn't have a problem moving on from anyone if he thinks it's best for the team.

I like Cox a lot but with all due respect, he abused a turd yesterday.
