        Agree...

....he gambled and it's looking like a loser, only redeeming thing is he didn't lock in long term so he can reload next year.

that was GM Chip who rolled snake eyes. Coach Chip has done an excellent job with SB. JUST ASK SEC 632 or what ever it is.

He rolled the dice thinking he could trade him to move up for MM

Now he is stuck with him for the year

I just think his heart might not be in. The fact that he considered quitting football raised a big red flag for me. It also seems like he is not mentally prepared for games.

....I have no doubt his confidence has been seriously undermined from his injury history....sprinkle in the rust from not playing and I think you have a recipe for easy discouragement or even depression.

Perhaps his injury wasn't the only reason for Chip bringing him along so slowly??

As for being prepared I think Chip bares some responsibility only because so many other parts of the team appear to be suffering from the same thing.

But I agree something is off only because we have seen so many other so so QBs perform in this system and flourish.
