I am a little late on this but did anyone receive a survey from Eagles after Giants game? These may go out to a small amount of people after each home game for all I know but mine came the other day. Basically, they are just mining for information about everything except what happens the on the field. That includes parking, ushers, wifi, if I play fantasy football, skin color, income etc…
I tried to be honest because there are things I really dislike about our stadium. Some of my complaints may be nit picky but they asked me..
1) Parking is just horrendous. $40 gets you a spot but after the game you are on your own. People will park anywhere.. sideways.. against the fence, over two spots… nightmare…Also, good luck trying to merge 6 lanes into 1 after the game… could some of the $40 raping go to a traffic cop? I have parked in Disney World where they park a few hundred thousand daily and it is by far better than this… I understand mass transit would work but it is just not convenient for me.
2) Scoreboards – I know they tried to spin it that we now have these great video boards. However, their “ribbon boards” between the levels is just non stop ads to the point of being unable to find the down, distance and clock.. which is somewhat important to the game but obviously not as important as where to buy solar panels or opening up a checking account… the flashing is very distracting. The giant end zone boards are rarely used as “end to end” display because of more ads… on each the end allowing only 65% to be used. Herrs potato chips - yay!
3) Radio broadcast.. for some reason 94.1 has game on a ten second delay… Isn’t your target audience right there in the stadium but also who carries the mail for the team? Merrill is truly a treasure and we kept from hearing updates, injuries etc…I just don’t buy that people are turning down their TV sound to put on radio broadcast.
4) Overall, the experience at the Linc just isn’t great between pat downs at the door and how very little can be brought in… awful getting out after the game and how technology hasn’t helped the in person game but penalizes a captive audience.
Side note - Try to catch the NFLN special on Dick Vermeil. Those uniforms and feelings about being inside the Vet reminds me how much I used to enjoy being there... and even as bad as the Eagles were at times you never got the feeling that the team was taking advantage of you they way they are now.
At the end of the survey they ask for my permission to contact me. That call has yet to come…
