I'm gonna have to side with Ells on this one. Cube and Ren were better emcees than Eazy, and truth be told, Ice-T was really the first one from the West coast to come with gangsta material. there was also Schooly D, who was from Philly I believe, who was doing gangsta stuff as well. They both came out in '86, about three years before Straight Outta Compton.
