Would Payton want to come here over, let's say...Miami? Miami already has a QB on their roster he can build around.

I wouldn't mind McDaniels. Had an opportunity with Denver but was way over his head at the time. Sure, he has Brady now but his ability to adapt and change his offense from week to week based on the opponent is enticing.

My money is still on Chip returning, though.

I can't believe people are being sold on McDermott again. He is working with a defensive head coach, there is no telling how much of that defense is him. We saw what he did here, it was not pretty.

Payton has to be intriguing. The Ref made a great point about experience but that tends not to work out as well with Super Bowl winner retreads. OTOH, he is definitely a guy who still has a chip on his shoulder because of bountygate so maybe he would be an exception there.

I wouldn't mind McDaniels too much, and Lurie worships New England so his name would definitely be on the list.

That said, Chip isn't gone this year unless Lurie does the right thing and takes away his GM powers and Kelly resigns over it.

..has got to know that with few or poor choices at QB this franchise will be a bitch to turn around.

            It's not an enticing gig.

I'd take a shot on Payton. Doesn't appear to be a power freak.

John Harbaugh would be high on the list

Could possibly trade for , I like him,, don't know if that's possible.

Cowher won't come here,, Chuckie H8s Philly and the Fans,,,Yea Mcdermott might be a viable solution. The Guy calling the plays IN New England was a HC before? right..

Every year he takes average talent and rocks it.

I was suggesting McDermott as someone Lurie would interview/hire. He was already with the team and will get high praise from Reid and Rivera.

I'm not totally sold on him and I think Kelly is here another year anyway. But he'd be on the top of Lurie's list imo.

Enough with McDermott : this board would string him up in the first game after we give up 2 first downs in the first quarter

                        None of it means shit

unless the new guy gets a franchise QB in here.

I don't think that is completely true... they drafted McNab. But that was a LONG time ago.

When was the last year when drafting QB was the priority for the Birds? Last year I guess. Well, they f*cked that up.

Ironically, McNabb was the only good player when it was supposed to be a "quarterback year."

In an alleged not-so-qb-heavy year, the Eagles took Mucus Smith in front of Teddy Bridgewater and David Carr.

There's probably some guys out there this year.

                                Agreed.

They could take a flyer on a guy if they want. Question is who starts next year? Doug Pederson?

Sanchize or Bradford could come back I guess because I don't thin they will have many options.
