I think if I had to choose one, it would be Maclin.

Either would be better than neither.

I was a little down on Maclin. Looking back on it I think it was displaced anger from Kelly letting Jackson go and getting nothing in return. People were acting like Maclin could easily duplicate Jackson's role... without noting he couldn't replace Jackson's role AND his role at the same time.

I'd take Jackson over Maclin. I think Maclin's skill set is more easily replaceable than Jackson's. Injury wise, both have missed time.

I never saw anti-Maclin posts. Mostly they weren't as impressed with him being all world or anything. Good, not great was what I got. Solid pro. Legit starter. Turns out those kind of players are valuable. 12 million per year valuable? That was the debate. In hindsight - yes. I'd rather they gave that 65 million to Maclin than #31.
