Come on OB they got it completely wrong

They look like total idiots putting that out before the facts came out. Even Obama made similar prayer comments.

      A. It is the GOP that loves to lean on God and prayer. BTW! They are QUOTES!

      B. So what that Obama did it too. It's fucking empty rhetoric.

      C. IT'S JUST FUCKING STUPID AND PRAYER WON'T DO SHIT TO HELP WITH THE SITUATION.

      D. Who has the fucking balls to stand up to the brain dead shitheads that run the fucking NRA? It's long past time to can the fucking 2nd amendment and get the guns away from the fucking nutbags.

The "thoughts and prayers" statement after any of these events are nothing more than platitudes. What actions have been taken or even discussed? Especially by those that are funded by the NRA.

And he's made the statement in both this and the Oregon shooting that simply offering thoughts and prayers is not enough. That reforms need to be made. He at least suggests action.

Well, they did help make the purchase of the firearms used legal.

The assault weapons were purchased legally. But these tactical arms are only legal in the United States because of the efforts of the NRA — which cowed congress into watching the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban expire under president George W. Bush.

The Government Accountability Office has reported that "membership in a terrorist organization does not prohibit a person from possessing firearms or explosives under current federal law."

From 2004 to 2014, according to the GAO, more than 2,000 suspects on the FBI's terrorism watch list successfully purchased guns — at a success rate of greater than 90 percent. The NRA has lobbied against legislation that would close this loophole by calling it "sponsored by gun control extremists."

Basically the NRA is enabling any potential domestic Muslim terrorist easy access to the weapons necessary to carry out any potential domestic Muslim terrorism. Sickening.

                  Ridiculous

First, the question I asked was what actions did Obama propose to stop domestic islamic terrorism - you didn't answer.

Second, semi-automatic rifles are available in countries around the world - the notion of "assault" rifles is complete nonsense. The definition of what was banned in the 90s was laughable and would have zero bearing on this.

Finally, the bottom line is the best case scenario for gun control is laws like they have in California nationally. Even if that were the case, this TERRORIST ATTACK would not have been stopped.
