I put my name on there about 5 years ago because my brother told me to. I linked one guy and get incessant emails about his updates to his profile and a bunch of invitations to these other people. I don't accept any of them. I don't go on my own site. Why should I? What am I missing? Isn't this just an adult professional facenutz site?

I'll usually recommend a couple of attorneys/appraisers ect. and the Millennials will check their Linkedin network and then we decide who to use. Often times my recommendations are Linkedin members.
It's an excellent tool to find a professional but always make sure you do your due diligence when using Linkedin.

I went from scrounging for part-time work to a potential huge career-boost. Totally recommend maintaining a profile.
