Agreed but more important than production and $$$ right now is perception. If Kelly cut peters, another respected vet and HOF'er, the vibe in locker room could very well go from 1st to 4th layer of hell.Comment

But as far as players go, Peters was one of the biggest disappointments of the season. Checking out of games and refusing to dress isn't exactly what you want from your veteran leaders. That, on top of playing the worst football of his career.
Hopefully things can be worked out with him. I think he can hang on and be an effective guard for a couple of seasons, which would be one less position they'd need to fill this offseason.Comment
