Things inside had to be pretty bad. I didn't think one losing season would be the end of him with his contract and the confidence Lurie has displayed in him.

I can understand the hire although I would have gone with an NFL experienced assistant coach. But Kelly turned out to be a hot mess. Credit to Lurie for eating the contract.

The crazy thing is that Chip was fired. That means the Eagles have to pay him. If Jeffrey would've said that he's bringing Howie back as the GM, Chip would have walked.
