    Makes the most sense.

Yeah, that must be it....actually, didn't he say the opposite - that he was looking forward to being in the same system two years in a row? He's probably more likely to test the waters now that he is guaranteed to be in a different system next year no matter what.

Give a break ... you think Bradford has Brady level juice?

They could keep Shurmur as HC and he could run the offense he played his best in.

Or OC. Wonder the players think about Shurmur. I said elsewhere, given all of the holes on offense, I'd be OK with signing Bradford to a reasonable deal.

I think they will sign a free agent QB this off-season, but the best one to run a traditional offense may be Bradford.

Depending on the coach and the position ... they may take a QB in the first round.

That pick had better be an OT.

You want Sam so bad you would be okay with Shurmur as HC?

I think Shurmur should be given an interview and taken into consideration. All the things that made the offense unworkable (lack of OL, frenetic pace, simplistic playbook) were all Kelly more than Shurmur.

If Shurmur gets the job, we might have a chance to retain some valuable positional coaches. If a new guy comes in, he'll probably clean house.

That being said, I'm not sure Shurmur is HC material, but this Sunday will be an opportunity for him.
