I love Duce. I hope Lurie stipulates to the next coach that Duce stays. However, I think there's a big difference between being a QB coach and being a RB coach...and our run game this year sucked.

I see this as the quickest way to get the Rooney Rule out of the way and start focusing on the real targets. I guess they don't think Hue is a viable option or want to move on to someone specific.

This is what I suspect. Lurie didn't make this decision overnight. It's been brewing since at least Halloween within the power structure. Anyone could see this train wreck developing by the bye week. They might have somebody targeted for several weeks now. I fear it's Billick but hoping not.

Love Duce but needs at least a year at OC. Makes sense to talk to though. Gets the minority interview out of the way, gives Duce some respect and interview experience.
