Knows what he is doing. He has dumped a boatload of washed up dudes (except the fungus like Umberger) and is willing to send guys with big egos to languish in the minors. And I doubt anyone would want to fight him over his choices anyway.

I don't know if they are getting it right or now, but where they are headed at least has me thinking they have more of a chance than not.

Their defensive prospects are legit prospects. Gostisbehere is hurt...but he is a excellent offensive defenseman. If he becomes above average on defense then he will be a stud.
Provorov has legit #1 d-man/top 5 in league ability and he killed it at the world juniors.
Sanheim is just a step below Provorov
Morin has talent but not sure if he'll reach it, but he is showing flashes with the phantoms.
Then they have Hagg and Alt who project to be steady d-men...probably bottom pairing guys but that's not awful.

Now, Hextall has to work on getting the forward depth up which started with Konency.
