Umberger to go away. He's a good guy, but a crap hockey player at this stage of his career. Cousins, Leier, and a number of other guys in the minors have much more speed, skill, and tenacity and cost a fraction of the price. Come to think of it, why the h*** is he still on the big team and not being waived ala MacDonald?

Yeah...just saw that right after I posted. I wish he were playing better because he's a good dude. But it also begs the question, if Vinny (who Hextall was a genius to jettison at any price), Gagner and MacDonald are subject to being healthy scratches, why can't RJ? He hasn't scored a goal in months, he doesn't really fight, he's not an agitator, and he's not a playmaker. He plays on penalty kills in roles that a lot of other guys can already do on that team, and the PK is suffering right now anyway. In fact, he's the most irrelevant player on the team at the moment--and that's saying something considering the hit parade of underperforms and average players the Flyers have hitched themselves to in the last five years. I just wonder if Umberger has nuclear secrets or info about Hextall's secret life or something.
