He seemed soft this season, stats aren't the best either. They, not we, need to draft his replacement

I think his performance also suffered badly from poor interior line play. Those may be valid excuses for why he was so pitiful this year. He made the Pro Bowl on reputation, but Jason Peters 2015 was far from elite.

Peters knows that tackles make a lot more than guards. He doesn't even want to entertain that he may get moved to guard and possibly have to make less. He will continue to 'remind' everyone that. All of this chirping is him trying to convince himself he has something left. Unfortunately, his body is starting to breakdown. It sucks because he's the only player on this team with a mean streak.

Agreed. The Washington game when Peters went after Baker for the cheap shot on Foles is the last time I remember feeling pride in my team.

Hit the nail on head with this. Although his body size suggests he could maul at guard, his mean streak and exception head/eye and foot speed made him elite. That is starting to deteriorate but he did get zero help this year.

He clearly wants a title and if he wants to extend career, a move to guard would do it. All comes down to the new coach and buying in. Gotta be a run heavy offense
