  • Anybody think Chip Kelly's is going to find out

Nobody does a smear like the Eagles' front office?

Chip smeared himself. The front office has nothing to do with it. All the players he got rid of did a good job smearing Chip. Not even counting the players that are still here.

Im beginning to think Chip really doesn't want to go back to college. He's no gladhander. At Oregon he had to make one booster happy, Phil Knight. It's inconceivable Kelly has the interpersonal skills to do what it takes to coach Texas.

I agree with this post. Level of agreement: 100 percent.

Exactly. Oregon was perfect for him. Actually, New Hampshire was perfect for him and Oregon was probably the outer limit of what he wants to deal with. Texas, USC or any SEC school would eat him alive.

Coaching is no different than most professions - at some point, and on some level, you have to be able to deal with people. I went to law school with a guy who is extremely intelligent but horrible with people. He was with Patton Boggs and then after it broke up with a firm that some of the former partners started. Partner called him into the office recently and told him he would never be partner and he may want to find another career that he enjoyed. Dude could write the shit out of any brief you ever needed, but he'll, apparently, never make it because he can't interact with people. Kelly may be the same way.

Haha. Nice. One added component to this is how many former jilted players went out of their way to slam Kelly as well. Nobody did that to Reid. Well, maybe George Hegamin...

Not a big history guy, are you?
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

...no player came out to defend him after his dismissal and damn few said little while he was here.

This was a team built in his image: soft, uninspiring, and extremely confused.

History has nothing to do with it. Kelly smeared himself when he got rid of top talent and those players ripped him. The front office had nothing to do with his reputation.
