I'm convinced the key is getting a franchise QB. That gives you ten years to build. Maybe it's not Hackenberg but he's an interesting candidate. Better than another Mucus Smith.

some teams manage to win without one, but it sure makes things a lot easier. Finding and keeping one is another story. But as you say its going to be a long time for this team...not sure you can afford the luxury of going after a "franchise" guy now...and with this O-line he's liable to get killed anyway...

Sorry I didn't realize you said No Hackenberg my bad as for Paxton I like him as a project for 1-2 years down the road not a started this season. He just reminds me of Ben Roethisberger with his size, movement and arm strength.

what are your ties to Memphis? curious as to why you would have seen them six times, but whatever...I saw them twice, vs. Temple and in their bowl (not the whole game) and he looked like dogshit in both of those games. Also didn't they lose out their final three regular season games starting with Temple?

To be fair, I'm pretty sure he wasn't 100% going into the Temple game....a leg injury if I remember correctly.

Hackenberg has NEVER impressed me. I just don't see it.
