Buddy of mine who is a 49er fan told me they offered Mangini the opportunity to stay on as DC. He declined. Also, just saw on twitter that they offered the Bills assistant HC/RB coach the OC job and he declined.

With regards to Mangina, you have to remember that Chip and Belichick are buddies and Mangina is persona non grata as far as Bill is concerned.
