And that whole fiasco. I still believe the Eagles would've won a Super Bowl with him, had the FO handled it better. He was the best player I watched play on the Eagles (I'm too young to really remember Reggie) and his time here was way too brief. 2004 was the most fun I've ever had watching football, and that is a distant memory right now.

I remember being at the Packers game with my sister and the Eagles could literally score at will. And the Packers were not a bad team that year. I think the Packers had won six straight coming into that game. Honestly, it was such a blowout it got a little boring.--------

I'm just seeing all these TO highlights this week, and it's bitter sweet. Mostly bitter.

People were even doing the TO chant at work.
Joe Banner may have saved the Eagles some money on the cap, but he cost the team a shitload of cash for jersey sales and the real good chance of finally bringing the Lombardi to Philly.John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

Not really ... because comparing the statistics of receivers who played when it was run first, pass second, and when you could bump and run all the way down the field ... to those who played in the more recent offenses and under the pass-slanted rules, is apples to oranges.
EDITED TO ADD: But Owens should be in the HOF, and certainly as worthy as Harrison.
EDITED AGAIN TO ADD - The same applies to statistics for DB's.Last edited by slag; 02-07-2016, 11:36 AM.Obscenity is the last refuge of an inarticulate motherfucker.

This is true.
Take the homer out of the equation and I'm a big Dawkins supporter. I'm not big into stats, but if that's what people like to consider, Dawkins has all the tackling statistics by a mile over everyone but Lott. Plus all the intangibles. Those stats apply to any area and yet stats don't tell the whole story, I agree.
