It was always sorta infamous that he was an elitist. Thomas tended to have the opposite approach - reaching down to the plebs. He hired someone from my alma mater, I think.

One thing I do hope to finally see from the new justice is someone not from Harvard or Yale. I get the pedigree, but many fine lawyers and jurists went to Stanford and Michigan and Chicago.
