  • Nova vs. Temple

I will root for Nova because I love seeing an area team at #1
I will root for Temple because I want to see them spoil the Bastid's season
    I really don't give a fuck
I'm pissed that Nova is winning with an immigrant center and that is UnAmerican
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

If Temple does not defend inside it will be a long night. Temple needs to play its best game and get a little bit of luck as well.

I expect a close game with the hostile BIG 5 environment at the Apollo. The 1998 meeting comes to mind. Jaylen Brunson will need to overcome the hecklers early and our hot / cold 3pt. shooting will set the tempo for our offense and deterimne if the Chef can operate in the paint vs Bond and Co. TU has played well in their last 5 wins with Decosey shooting lights out in a couple of those. GO CATS #1

It's time for Dunphy to step down. Temple is nothing but an NIT/Fringe-Tournament team as long as he is there. He gets consistently out recruited by Pat Chambers and Martelli, when he has superior facilities and TV exposure. One win a year against a top 10 team does nothing for me. He just doesn't have the energy.

I have to hand it to Nova and Mr. Soccer Coed. They really are a great team, and certainly an odds on favorite to be a Final 4 team. If only their fans weren't roaches. Temple didn't belong on the same court as them.

True, Dunphy needs to go, but Temple could have and should have been in that game. Terrible shot selection all night and they lost their poise early. Credit Nova's defense for that, but you need to break the pressure and get layups and force them to adjust. Nova dictated the pace and played way to comfortably in what should have been a hostile environment. But the crowd, understandably, never got into the game.

IF temple had cut out 75 percent of its mistakes they would have had a legit shot to win.

Sure Temple's shot selection was poor, but they've lived and died by the 3-pointer for a few years now, it's a hideous offense to watch. And they did miss quite a few opportunities (layups, free throws, ect). But I don't think Nova played all that great either. To me there is just a distinct difference in talent between the two programs.

I do agree about them dictating the pace, I have no idea why Dunphy started Alston, that kid was completely rattled.

Oh well. At least the football program is on the up.

                because he benched Josh Brown

for a "time management" issue related to academics. Stupid move. I dont see the point in sitting him for what, 10 minutes? Suspend him or play him and deal with it later.

It comes down to talent and the Owls don't have enough.

Biggest recruit in years is Alston and he is atrocious out there. Couldn't dribble past any nova guard.
