  • Maybe Pedey isn't so dumb.

This isnt exactly a brilliant observation but Chump never figured it out.

"The first thing I noticed was there were three different (types) of
running backs on the roster,'' Pederson said. "And you can't take
three different running backs and try to make them one running back.

"I'm not saying it's right or wrong (the way Kelly used them). But I
just know that the different style of running that I'll bring will
utilize all three (differently). You've got a downhill guy (Murray).
You've got a slasher (Mathews). And you've got a great quick guy in
Sproles who can create mismatches on defense, whether he's coming out
of the backfield or lining up as a receiver.

"Three different guys, three different styles. Instead of using the
same plays with (all three) guys, we're going to be under center.
We're going to be in two-back. One-back. Empty (backfield). We're
going to utilize their strengths to help the offense.''

Evan Mathis, the other day in I think USATODAY, said in an interview that Chip's offense never evolved. He ran it how he ran it and that was it. Players were expected to fit a role even though they may not fit what they are asked to do.

I saw an article where the Oregon qb who just graduated said he watched a few Eagles games last season and knew most of the plays before the ball was snapped.

Not surprised. Defenses wee saying this all year after games with Chip. Disgusting.

            That part isn't rocket science

Never understood why Chump wouldn't utilize Murray correctly. Should be interesting to see this 3 headed running attack this year.

Solving the problem is something different.

Kelly didn't consider it a problem.

Personally I'd let Matthews go and bring in a rookie.

Um. They used to do that against Andy.

I remember RSE and Slag saying the same thing. Calling plays from the stands.
Doesn't matter if the defense knows what's coming if the players execute. It didn't seem to hurt Shady the second year he was in the offense.
