If they trade him under existing contract, wouldn't the guaranteed all pass to the new team, leaving the Eagles with just $4m of dead cap?
He has an $8 mil cap number this year, so trading him seems to free up $4M of cap room, while cutting him costs us $13M or $5 over and above his current cap number.
I think I would gladly give him away to a team looking to take on his current deal - for a bag of footballs. Even to the Cowgirls. I'd take the extra cap room and get rid of the stink - as long as Howie promises never to sign another roach. If we can get a draft pick for him, all the better.Last edited by Bardy; 02-26-2016, 03:47 PM.

Edit to add: All depends on how much cap hit the eagles have if they trade himLast edited by phillyeagles36; 02-26-2016, 07:23 PM.
