You've been all about the tanking method for years. The teams that have been winning superbowls lately can't trace it back to tanking. Last time this organization did it, it was a fun run and all but I don't remember any parade afterward.

Understood. I almost never think about who the Eagles should draft. I just react to who they do draft.

The last time this team was relevant they had the number two pick in the draft behind center. People talk about Bradford not having enough talent around him, what about McNabb? The Mannings (both #1 picks) won four Super Bowls because other players stepped up in the big games where their QBs may not have brought their 'A' game. McNabb didn't have that luxury. Once again, if I thought this front office could draft a QB, I don't care where they pick him. You draft Barkley, Kolb and Foles, now I care.

Upgrading from Billy Davis should be worth a couple games. I could see 10-6 if Pedersen turns out to be competent.

I'm not much of a Bradford fan but he's better than Sanchez or Daniels. And the deal was reasonable and short.

Do people forget how fucking awful Sanchez was last year? He can move the ball down the field against a subpar defense but he is guaranteed to turn it over at some point along the way. I was under the impression that last season pretty clearly answered the question of whether Sanchez was just as good.

This team has just a little too much talent to tank successfully. They're nowhere close to as awful as the Colts team that got them Andrew Luck.

I want to see what this team looks like without Chip's predictable stench. Is one year in a college offense with shitty WRs after a long time away really enough of a sample for Bradford?

The offense that he set all time records for Eagle quarterbacks in?

              That offense?

The offense where Foles, McCoy, Jackson, Maclin, Ertz, Matthews had their best years of production in. Bradford....not so much.

a million times. It's the reason you sign Bradford and the reason you effectively overpay/guarantee on a 2 year deal. Eagles 2017 cap will be in a good position however Bradford plays.

Some of the senior posters treat the team like a teenager treats "oppressive" parents.

As if the 1999 divide didn't drive enough quality "younger" posters off the board.

I certainly hated FF, but shame on you for rooting for this franchise!

That offense that lost all of its blue chip talent and the rest of the NFL figured out.

The NFL didn't figure out shit.

You want to make the point that the coach fucked around with the personnel, didn't adjust to keep the defense fresh and kept a nitwit in charge of it?

                            Fine.

But that offense works with the right personnel and when the receivers hold the ball.

The offense needed a less vanilla playbook. I think they did figure him out.

Because in the Crudinals game their defense was literally calling out the plays before they happened. Chip's offense is the same handful of plays with multiple variations. I think it was Patrick Peterson or someone who said that their first 15 or so plays tell you exactly what they're going to do for the rest of the game.

A good defensive coordinator can take advantage of that. Chip didn't innovate. The better teams in the NFL that can actually game plan figured him out.
