  • Bradford probably saved the franchise

If he doesn't get a concussion, they beat the Dolphins, lose another playoff game, and we're stuck with Chip.

Chip saved the franchise by shipping the guards out and getting Bradford killed, thus getting Chip fired. The whole destroying a roster and not relating to anyone didn't hurt either.

Would it be impolite to point out

Herremans was benched with the Colts.
Mathis was benched with the Broncos.
Shipping those two overpriced, over the hill players was not the problem.
Believing he had replacements for them among the chumps and jagoffs on the team was the mistake. That and not drafting an offensive lineman for a couple of years.

Chip saved the franchise by getting himself hired then getting himself fired.

Not impolite just misleading. Mathis played every offensive snap for Denver in the Super Bowl.

            Very true.

But what is also true is that Mathis was playing so badly at one point during the regular season that he was replaced by a rookie that was drafted in the 4th round.

I'm thinking that Evan Mathis would not have made a hell of a lot of difference playing for the Eagles last season.
