So what have we all learned from this?
We've learned that it is extremely difficult to find pro quality QB's in the draft and almost impossible to get them by way of trade or free agency. So you're left with ex-cons trying to resurrect their careers, gimps, turnover machines, or neck-injured five heads.Comment

He was following the Ron Wolf formula of drafting QBs. Unfortunately he managed to f*k up the whole thing, reaching for players he shouldn't have. He got lucky with McNabb, both in being able to be in the draft position he was without having to wheel and deal, and with McNabb actually being the class of the bunch that year.Comment

Imagine where we'd be if....
...he took Akili Smith? We would have languished for a few years until maybe the 2003 draft where we would have had our pick of such notables as Byron Leftwich, Kyle Boller, and Chris Simms.

It was a pretty shit year for QBs, in hindsight. I actually liked Smith, but I'm happy that Andy didn't.
