  • RIP George Martin

The man who possibly had more to do with the "Beatles sound" than the actual Beatles.

He certainly had a great impact on the Beatles sound...all the orchestration involved in their music was him. Hell, he even helped them learn how to play their instruments to a certain degree. If ANYONE was the fifth Beatle, it was Martin.

The anthology collection was a real treat to me. With the demos, extra tape tracks opened up, and so forth, you could hear all that Martin was adding to the mix. He really brought them to the next level.

              That's the Moody Blues

And it was long time MB producer Tony Clarke.

But I agree that the arrangements were top notch. The old MB stuff was classic headphone material back in the day.
