Howie is still a dope. Trust me. He did a good job dumping those turds but that doesn't mean he now knows how to build a team. There's a reason you don't hear a lot from the great organizations on this day. They draft well, sign their own, and fill their gaps with second tier players. Spending all this money on two quarterbacks is Howiesque.

            His contract confuses me.

Up to $36mm with incentives, if he's playing. Vs. the 2-year deal they just gave to Bradford. It seems like a real competition at QB this year ... but they may be paying two starting QB salaries, at least at first.

So which of the free agents they signed are top tier guys? It seems like they filled glaring needs and can draft pretty much BPA in every round. Granted they need to look at RB, WR, and a QB to groom. As for being Howiesque, you have to give him props. He unloaded 2 "untradable" contracts, and a LB who may not ever come close to what he was before getting hurt. The fact they spent a lot on QB shouldn't be shocking. Orsweiler got $18 mil and was 5-2. At this point they will probably try to trade Sanchez and end up releasing him.
What do you think they should have done? Try to fill all their needs in the draft? They don't have enough picks for that and they sure don't have any guarantees that they will work out. Something tells me you would be complaining if they didn't do anything. Something along the lines of " they aren't doing anything to improve. They didn't even get a better back up than Sanchez and Bradford will get hurt, the Cowboys Redskinds and Giants all got better so far and they haven't done anything, They are going to suck again. Fire Howie, Pederson, and all the coordinators NOW."

It's a no win situation no matter what they do.

If you think I would have complained if they didn't do anything, you're not paying attention. I applaud Howie for fixing the mistakes but he still hasnt showed me he can build a team. I will wait for the draft to play out but I know how this ends. QBs are like goalies, when you have two, you have none.
