  • Pedersen / Daniel has a "I can't quit you" feel to it

    "Special relationship"

    "Particular set of skills"

When Chase Daniel arrived at the NovaCare Complex on Thursday, his first full day as the Eagles' backup quarterback, his new head coach and old friend Doug Pederson took him on a tour of the facility. The tour lasted 45 minutes, because when Daniel and Pederson get to talking about football or their families or pretty much anything, they find it hard to stop.

I love the stuff the players say about Pederson. It's pretty much universal. We'll see if he can actually coach, but he seems to have the perfect temperament.

I agree with you that something is strange about the whole Daniel/Bradford thing. There's a part of me that would be fine with trading Bradford. Also, you have to figure that Daniel is going to get a chance to start a few games this season. If he looks competent then you can cut bait with Bradford after 1 year and wait until you can draft your future franchise guy.

I like the fact that Bradford is a 2-year deal and Daniel is a 3-year. It gives them flexibility to draft a QB this year and groom him slowly, but also no urgency if a QB doesn't fall to them.

However, none of this matters if Doug can't coach.

Sounds more like Liam Neeson in Taken,

As far as Daniels contract, isn't it basically a two tier contract, base is 21 mill and can elevate to 36 mill. So you have to wonder, did Howie leave himself an "out" in case they/he is looking at offers for Bradford?

Is this why Sanchez is still here? Have no idea, just asking?

            Double headed you know whats
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

Pederson knows what he'll get out of Daniel--it might not be world beating, but at least he knows who'll be under center and with what skills. Given Bradford's odd sample of work in a really weird system under Chip, I don't think any of us (including Pedey) know if Bradford will do very well in the new system. Solid back-up plan.
