If Huff is above Givens on the depth chart by September, then Givens sucks.

I expect Huff to be cut before the season starts. I would assume they are only keeping him around for the time being to see FA and the draft through.

The thing is that Chip also gutted the WR attack by concentrating on the short game. I'll be interested to see what any of these guys can do if you send 'em downfield and give Samford enough time.

Givens spent three years in St. Louis with Sam Bradford, with whom he had his best season. In 2012, Givens broke the NFL rookie record for most consecutive games with a reception of at least 50 yards (five). During that season, he also led the Rams in receiving yards (698), yards-per-catch average (16.6) and receptions of at least 25 yards (eight).

However, his production has since declined. While playing in 45 games in the last three seasons, he scored just two receiving touchdowns. But during his 12-game stint in Baltimore last year, he did average a career-high 18.2 yards per catch.
