I rip them, still cant stand the school, alumni and fans (for the most part) and that means when they warrant praise I have to praise them.
This looks like a team right now that can play with and beat, anybody. They are still weak on the glass and that could hurt them against a physical, athletic squad...but if they shoot like they have in the first two games that is not an issue. Cant say I will be cheering for them but in pure basketball terms I admire how they play. And they have been stellar defensively.
Temple was lucky to make it to OT against Iowa after the dumbest foul I have seen in years. They lost the game when they went 1-12 from the field to start the second half. And Dunphy should be fired for putting Dingle in there at the end with an arm so injured he cant shoot a free throw. Will never understand that move. Time to pull the plug on this guy and give Aaron McKie a shot. If you'll notice, McKie does most of the x and o-ing in the huddles now. I always liked Fran, especially as a guy, but he's toast.
St. Blows? Not in the mood to go on in this post...but the regular season and showing in the first two games will probably keep the wolves at bay...he's good for another extension...great news for St. Blows opponents.
Right now its ridiculous how far ahead of the rest of the Big Five Villanova is.
