  • Jets D'Brickashaw Ferguson retires

Another player retiring at a young(er) age. Big blow to the Jets.

The only offensive lineman from the first round of that draft still playing is Nick Mangold.

As for the RBs, Reggie Bush and Deangelo Williams are still going.

So if the notion of career longevity even mattered any more, with the prevalence of rampant free agency, the whole idea that Big time RBs dont stick around as long as OLs took a shot to to the bow with this one.

Guess he took their request to take less money this year in a direction they didn't anticipate.

At least they can now resign The King Of Hearts Ryan Fitzpatrick!

This guy played 167 straight games and really had no injuries. He said he felt "betrayed" after seeing the Concussion movie. Way to go, Will Smith!

This is exactly the type of thing that would happen to the Jets. Franchise LT sees the wrong movie, decides to stop playing football.

If it were the Eagles though, he wouldn't retire, he'd just fake back injuries, spend a lot of time acting weird on YouTube, and convince the FO to overpay a family member while continuing to collect fat checks.
