Speculation is the agent is trying to drive up the market value for defensive linemen. And Cox is apparently letting his agent do the driving. And he's doing his usual obscure tweets.

I'm not worried quite yet. No matter what happens, we have him for 2 more years. When we get to camp, and he sees another major player in a contract year go down with an ACL, he might decide to push his agent a little more.

And if it was it’s gotta be years, and years, and years and it surely wasn’t about this. I think it’s unfair to myself, I think it’s unfair to Fletcher Cox to put out that type of misinformation. And you know who else it’s unfair to? The fans. Because you’re misleading your Philly fan base.”

I loved the Todd France interview. He torched Eskin and it was well deserved. Eskin is wrong 90% of the time and he blew this one. Eskin is a glory hound and just throws shit out there to get his name mentioned. Now he will come up with excuses on how he knows and does not know shit.

That's BS, like him or not, Eskin is one of the hardest working journo's in the city. He is right on most of the stuff he reports. Agents are scum, so I choose to believe Eskin's report is accurate.

Howard Eskin is probably the best sports reporter in Philadelphia. Sure he will take inside info when he gets it and he will run with it. He has been a useful mouthpiece for the sports teams in the city.

But overall everybody who knows the guy personally tells me he is a decent man. He's got a schtick, but he's a good guy.

Sometimes I think that BK's ad agency based the ad campaign off of Eskin. The resemblence is too close.
