I guess I can watch isolated moments of the actual draft...for perhaps 10 minutes, tops. I do prefer to catch the Eagles selections. When it was on the same day as the Penn Relays I literally didn't know anything until the first day was over.

There was a time where it was fun to get a bunch of guys together for a BBQ and some loud discussion about what each team is doing...but Mr. McMahon put an end to that with the prime time move.

..getting together will football fans on a weekend was a blast, an island of fun in the empty sea of the offeseason.

I have vivid memory,,it was a nice ass day really warm had the Big oversized Tube TV that weighed 2000 lbs,,Couch went No1,,and I already knew who we were picking; although the Ricky Williams crowd was there,,ala the mayor. I cracked a perfect frosted Heineken Pint as the pick came down,,, Raised my beer, and said I said Hope he's Franchise Qb,,

and he was....I can still taste that fucin Beer!

Yep. It sucks now. My friends and I would have a combo draft/NBA playoffs party. Now I might let the first round play in the background while I do typical weeknight shit.
