I'm kind of surprised that he (and more likely his agent) didn't see this coming. I was sure that the delay in getting his updated deal had to do with such contingencies as we're seeing now.

I could see his attitude if he were flat out being lied to by the organization. But he must be naive to think that anybody is irreplaceable in this league.

I don't know. Bradford has zero leverage. 2016 was a bridge year for the Eagles whether he or Chase Daniel takes the snaps. He holds out we suspend him and we save a bunch of money. I really don't see how this affects the Eagles leverage in trading him. That's the beauty of the 2 year deal.

I agree, but I'm still surprised that this seems like a surprise to Bradford.

Sam's trying to get out in front of the vaunted Eagles smear campaign by actually creating his own about himself. Brilliant!! Misguided, but brilliant.

He's read too many of his press clippings and thinks he has some leverage. Guy hasn't played 10 games in a row in his 6 year career. He is a lower tier qb who has gotten a lot of money from the old draft system. Suspend him and get what we can. Try to get back some of that signing bonus too if possible. Never liked the guy.

Trade him to SF for their #37 pick, Kap isn't happy and Gabbert is worse that Sanchez.

More evidence that the Chip Area never had a chance with Howie lurking in the shadows whispering in Lurie's ear.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

They will be lucky to get pick 137 for Bumford.

I'm pretty sure he feels really bettayed by Pederson especially. Probably wouldn't have come back if it weren't for some convincing. Fuck him but I see where he is coming from. Regardless of the money I wouldn't want to stick around somewhere I clearly have no future either. Learn another playbook for the third (fourth?) year in a row...

He had a future here with a front-loaded, 2-year contract?

I guess his knees have been exploding under the immense weight of his balls.

Chip never had a chance because his entire philosophy was predicated on the idea that running 5 plays fast is supposed to beat smart NFL defenses. But, okay.

I don't think he saw it as a 1 year rental and then we kick you to the curb type deal. He probably figured he still needed to prove his worth to earn a long term contract but I'm almost certain he thought he had a future here.
