Shiiiiit! You probably pass out in nothing but Jorts every afternoon in your front yard while neighbors look on in horror.

"Mommy, what's wrong with Mr George?"

"Oh, he retired last year sweetie."

I am a fulltime working stiff again. In some ways it sucks but I can afford a whole drawer full of jorts.

              new

I am actually back in the journalism game. Its really funny so see how much has changed in some aspects and how much it has not in others.

The main thing that has changed is how people are more scared/pissed/wary to deal with the media now. Much more guarded. Cant blame them, either.

unfortunately newsrooms are pretty much gone but...

...that is not an inacurate depiction. But people remembered me and had faith.

Today, the newsroom is mostly the reporter's car. A lot of comraderie is lost. Serious journalists are now being paid with "clicks" incentives. Not good for balance or integrity.

Still, just as football is blocking and takling--journalism is reporting and writing. Two things I not only still know how to do, I am probably doing them at a better level than ever. Definitely having a lot of fun.
