One thing to consider is that Howie knows that if the Eagles finish with a terrible record this coming season then it shifts the opinion of the trade for Wentz. Imagine sitting through a Chase Daniel led 3-13 season only there is no silver lining of a top draft pick afterward. If Wentz turns out to be a bust it would be even worse.

I'll be happy for him when he wins a Super Bowl in Denver. Guy came off two torn ACLs, wound up playing pretty well once he got back in the groove, and was never respected for a minute. We had our franchise QB, and pissed him away. We don't deserve nice things.
