  • Sixers exploring trades for Okafor and Noel

I guess we already knew this but it seems like something will probably happen before the draft.

They must feel pretty good about Embiid. I'm not really in favor of trading Okafor, even if it lands Dunn. I really like Noel, but I guess he's the more expendable of the two.

Just exciting to see them start to be in a position to field a real NBA team and win some games.

The 76ers will explore trades involving young big men Jahlil Okafor, Nerlens Noel as the NBA draft approaches, sources told ESPN.

must be the asshat factor again

its been a long time, if ever that I saw footwork down low like Okufor's. It's also been a long time, if ever, I heard of anyone getting a car up to 125 MPH on the Ben Franklin.

Here's some more negativity on Simmons' play (not necessarily his attitude)...

I would not trade Jah. No way.

Jah has more value and Noel is probably the better fit with Embiid and (Simmons?).

Whatever they do I don't think they should wait until next year. It has to happen before the draft.

If they do deal him, they better be pretty damn sure...

              that Embid's foot is ok.

Drafting Kris Dunn when the 76ers draft Simmons would make zero sense.

even if his foot is fine

he is unproven in the league. Okafor probably would have been Rookie of the Year if he had not gotten hurt

Why? Just curious (i prob wouldn't make the trade). Sixers still need a legit PG.

There was never a time where anyone but KAT was winning that award last year. A healthy Okafor would have battled it out with Porzingis for 2nd, but even if Okafor had better stats than Kristaps (he would have) I think the NY bias would have come in to play.

Dunn can't shoot outside either and his best attribute is his ability to facilitate the offense with the ball in his hands. He's a smaller, less gifted version of Simmons. Having two guys like that would be a waste because they both can't run the offense at the same time.

If the Sixers traded Jah for another top pick, the draft would need to play out: Ingram and Dunn or Simmons and Murray. Those pairings make the most sense.

Of those two options my favorite combo is Ingram and Okafor. why cant they just keep this simple and build on what they have?

Im on record as not being the biggest Okafor fan but moving him after a season where he flashed some nice potential is ridiculously stupid. Bad teams dont become better by trading away young players who display potential.

That was Hinkie though. New sheriff in town.

If its me making the call Jah's not going anywhere unless:

                              1. Embiid is DEFINITELY ok
                              2. Lakers will give up #2 pick for him

Other than that I'm not doing it.id trade Noel but not Jah
