Only 66 years old
RIP to a Broad Street Bully. Just watched the HBO documentary a few days ago, too."You on the other hand, describe your shit so many times and revel in how glorious or strange it looks that there is absolutely no doubt you most definitely DO have a shit fetish." - Kelly Green
Jim Lahey is a drunk bastard.

From Philly.com:
In a 2005 interview with Flyers public relations director Zack Hill, Mr. MacLeish recalled being accidentally sliced in the neck by the skate of the Kings' Marcel Dionne during a 1976 game. After the game, Mr. MacLeish said, "we went out for a couple of beers and cigarettes. [Defenseman] Joe Watson said there was some smoke and beer coming out of my neck. I am not sure what it was, but it was definitely something. Around 4 a.m. that morning I woke up, and I was bleeding all over the place because the stitches had broken. We called the team trainer, and he took me to get new stitches."

My friend worked with his brother here for years at GM and apparently he was a better hockey player than Rick but he couldn't stay out of trouble. Shame he died so young. Great hockey player.Last edited by KenfromCanada; 05-31-2016, 11:07 AM.Canada is like a really nice apartment over a meth lab.

He was the Mike Schmidt of the Flyers
He wasn't the straw that stirred the drink like Rose was with the Phils, but McLeish was as talented as anyone on that team. I remember people bitching and whining that he wasn't as intense as Clarke. Dumbasses back then like dumbasses with Schmidt.John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

This is very upsetting news for me as I remember many a night listening to Flyers games on the radio in those days...just a special time.
RIP.
