  • Not Good For Vince Velasquez

Throws two pitches (which were uncharacteristically clocked at 86 and 87) and then has to be pulled from the game.

    This doesn't usually end well.

some of the kids have been pitching well down on the farm.
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

I wasn't aware but Velasquez has a history of arm problems and Houston was planning on turning him into a closer before making the trade for Giles.

He already had TJ in 2010.

Phils apparently initially wanted Lance McCullers but HOU was more inclined to move Velasquez because of the injury concerns they had. When HOU offered Velasquez that's when the Phillies asked and received Appel.

edited to add: scanned twitter and someone screwed up. They pulled him fairly early to give him more time. DOesn't seem as bad
