  • Who should the 6ers take at 24?

Obviously a guard is ideal in this spot, but let's tale a look at the possibilites.

This mock has us taking Tyler Ulis.

I like Ulis, but I don't like undersized guards on principle and it's hard to imagine him matching up with someone like MCW.

Another possibility is Malachi Richardson, from Syracuse.

I didn't watch much Syracuse late in the year, but Richardson looked pretty shoddy early on. I'd rather have Ulis.

    Other options:

    Furkan Korkmaz, SG, Turkey
    Wade Baldwin IV, SG, Vanderbilt
    Demetrius Jackson, PG, Notre Dame

No it isn't. Richardson has worked his way into a top 10 pick. Or close.
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

The end of the year and tournament specifically are responsible for Richardson even being IN the draft. He was electric.
        Charismatic megafauna.

They're done stashing players in Europe.

I don't think Korkmaz or Richardson make it to 24. I would be thrilled with Baldwin if he's there, potentially a great fit with Simmons.

Demetrius Jackson wouldn't be a bad choice.

Patrick McCaw from UNLV is an interesting option. So is Malik Beasley, but word is he has a promise already. One of 24/26 is definitely going to be a stash, there's no way this team adds 3 first round picks from this draft for next season.

This is why I think the best idea is packaging them to move up into the late teens/early 20s.

Maybe both to move up to get who they want. Or package with player. Who knows?

                      That would really surprise me.

So nobody is behind picking Ulis if he falls?

                        Ulis

My problem with Ulis is that if absolutely everything goes right for him, he has a chance to be Earl Boykins. I know Ulis isn't Boykins short, but he's absolutely tiny (149 lbs).

He doesn't have current-Isaiah Thomas' quickness and sneaky strength and he's only ok from the outside. You have to have an elite trait to overcome the hindrance of being that small and I don't see it from him. He's a second round pick to me.
