I personally have never met a bouncer that did not exhibit the kind of clear-eyed vision, restless vigilance and sound judgment that made me want to entrust him with my life and safety of large groups of intoxicated individuals.
Ditto with security guards. Consummate professionals, every single one.
If we could get guns in the hands of every bouncer and security guard nation-wide, it would almost be like having a less-qualified citizen police force regulating my every-day existence through the threat of deadly violence.
I mean, highly-trained, psychologically-vetted police officers HARDLY EVER make mistakes with their guns, so I think these individuals would only make marginally more deadly mistakes in a dark, loud environment such as a dance club.
How do I sign up for this gun-ubiquitous utopia?

It isn't a big revelation that nothing will protect every soft target in a free society.
However, I'm pretty damn sure there are less successful attacks in Israel than there would be if they weren't as proactive as they are in anti-terrorist security.Obscenity is the last refuge of an inarticulate motherfucker.
