Ditto for elementary school students, movie-goers, and people who work with the developmentally disabled.

Arm these four groups, and the problem takes care of itself. You're right.
I think he was referring to people like a bouncer or security guard and not necessarily the patrons.

Well, I mean it goes without saying that all bouncers should be armed.

I personally have never met a bouncer that did not exhibit the kind of clear-eyed vision, restless vigilance and sound judgment that made me want to entrust him with my life and safety of large groups of intoxicated individuals.

Ditto with security guards. Consummate professionals, every single one.

If we could get guns in the hands of every bouncer and security guard nation-wide, it would almost be like having a less-qualified citizen police force regulating my every-day existence through the threat of deadly violence.

I mean, highly-trained, psychologically-vetted police officers HARDLY EVER make mistakes with their guns, so I think these individuals would only make marginally more deadly mistakes in a dark, loud environment such as a dance club.

How do I sign up for this gun-ubiquitous utopia?

would it be impolite to point out that armed soldiers in the streets do not stop terrorists from killing innocent civilians in Israel?

It isn't a big revelation that nothing will protect every soft target in a free society.

However, I'm pretty damn sure there are less successful attacks in Israel than there would be if they weren't as proactive as they are in anti-terrorist security.

Israel is completely different situation, they have been subjugating a society within their own border for decades.

No by law he was a good guy with a gun until he wasn't, which happened at about 2am Sunday morning.

I didn't read that anywhere in his post. But allow me to answer; YES.

                        His wife called bullshit.
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

That's the big mistake folks are making. Like with airline security, we are looking at securing stuff, rather than focusing on the people who use the stuff.
