      There have been small wars, the break-up of Yugoslavia which was not in the EU at the time for instance, but not large scale conflicts.

      If the EU dissolves, I think things will get very volatile.

          re-expansion into Western Europe. The EU security has a perception of being much weaker without the Brits and surely without the other countries demanding a referendum vote.

                Yes.

                They could easily pull off a Crimea situation with smaller countries and nobody will do a thing about it. I think we are in a chamging world in which you see some I interes in expansion by Russia and China ( China Sea artificial islands). Also, thre seems to be thoughts of isolationism.
